About Permian Self Storage

Permian Self Storage opened in 1983 and was the first self or mini storage facility in the Illawarra area. It has grown to be an innovative, secure and well-respected provider of storage and services to the householder and business alike. The facility continues to grow, to meet the changing demands of the clientele. Managers attend regular conventions and trade shows both in Australia and the USA to keep facility and regulations up-to-date.

Associations and Awards

Permian helped found the Self Storage Association of Australasia. We are also members of the Illawarra Business Chamber linked to the Australian Business Limited. The staff at Permian won the inaugural SSAA “Managers of the Year” award and in 2005 the company was awarded the prestigious Integral Energy “Illawarra Small Business of the Year” award.

Location and Storage Options

Located in Montague St North Wollongong, Permian is close to the city centre and major arterial roads and freeways to and from the Illawarra region. We offer a range of storage options including lock up storage units from1 cubic to 50 cubic metres as well as a range of carports and open storage for cars, boats, caravans and RV’s. Cleanliness and Maintenance

Permian presents the facility as clean and well maintained to its clients. To this end we conduct regular maintenance reviews of all aspects of the business including doors, lighting, vehicles, trailers and gates. We fumigate the facility regularly and at the termination of every lease, we inspect the unit, clean it thoroughly, repairing any damage and repainting if necessary.

At no time do we allow flammables or corrosive materials to be stored at Permian.

Management and Safeguards

The facility is managed by a live in management couple supported by a competent team of administration and maintenance personnel. The staff are committed to safeguarding your goods. The company incorporates such measures as.
