About Permian Document Logistics
Permian Document Logistics (PDL) officially opened
in 2003. This specialised business evolved because some Permian Storage
clients expressed interest in a service that would provide secure storage
for a variety of information media and records. Permian created a separate
facility dedicated to the storage and management of client information.
PDL has developed expertise in the tracking, retaining, returning or if
required destruction of client’s
business and personal records.
Associations and Awards
PDL is a member of the Records Management Association
of Australia. It is one of ourpriorities to maintain
an awareness of developments, trends and technologicaladvancements
relevant to our industry. We are also members of the Illawarra Business
Chamber and in 2005 were awarded the Integral Energy “Illawarra Small Business of the Year” Award.
Location and Storage Options
Our location in the Wollongong business district means that we are easily
accessible for many local clients.
There are many forms of documents and records that are stored at our facility
including back-up discs, tapes, schematics, plans, charts, drawings, newsprint
and photos. We provide both long and short term storage.
Please contact us for assistance, without obligation, of the most appropriate
method for your requirements.
Storage Facility
To ensure documents and media stored at our facility are kept in optimum
conditions regular cleaning and maintenance checks are carried out. Fumigation
and pest controls are conducted within and around the facility.

Management and Safeguards
Security of information stored and anonymity of clients
are two important priorities. To achieve these PDL follows strict guidelines,
processes and procedures. For example only suitably trained and qualified
PDL staff are permitted to
- pick-up and deliver items from clients
- have access
to and around the storage facility
- pick and stack items within the facility.
At all times the premises are locked and entry is restricted. A visitor
will be accompanied by a member of staff unless they are viewing their own
records in a private room.
A range of security and protective measures are in place including sensors,
detectors and alarms. Regular checks are undertaken so as to test the systems
as being effective and in proper working order.
